When you're out having a whale of a time at the Bishop Museum Storytelling Festival tomorrow, be sure to stop at the museum's Hall of Discovery.

There, visitors will find the "Kohola Lele" (Leaping Whale) traveling exhibit, which will later head to the Hawai'i Maritime Center.

The traveling exhibit includes display panels, cultural objects, hands-on activities and banners listing the names of 10,000 native seamen who traversed the Pacific in the 19th century on whaling expeditions.

Admission: $3, free for museum members. Festival hours: 11 a.m.-7 p.m.

Planets on parade

Heads up.

Bishop Museum, the Hawaiian Astronomical Society and Mother Nature join forces today for an ultimate star party. Starting at 5 p.m., weather permitting, viewers will see a parade of planets featuring Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn and Jupiter, from the museum's Great Lawn area. Museum staff will be on hand so viewers can take a closer look through telescopes provided by the Hawaiian Astronomical Society. "This will be the last time viewers will see the gathering of planets in the nighttime sky until 2016," said Carolyn Kaichi, planetarium manager. Planetarium programs and Star Lab (the museum's portable planetarium) are included in the program.

Admission is $3.

Reality roundup

If you have a brilliant reality-show idea — and a pile of money lying around — the P.S. I Love You charity and e-Bay can help hook you up with Hollywood studio executives who can make it happen.

Starting at 8 p.m. tomorrow wanna-be masters of reality can log on to www.ebay.com/psiloveyou and bid for one of 48, 10-minute, face-to-face meetings with reality-TV decision makers. There are three, three-day auctions of 16 spots each. The second phase begins Tuesday at 8 p.m. and the third on April 2 at 8 p.m.

Proceeds will go to the P.S. I Love You Foundation, a nonprofit organization that assists at-risk children.

Pay to be a player? How's that for reality.
