'Dharma' writer at UH campus

Writer and speaker Catherine Ingram will return to Honolulu April 20 to 25 for a series of events at the East-West Center's Koi Room on the University of Hawai'i campus.

She will present four "Dharma Dialogues" at 7:30 p.m. April 20 to April 23 ($10 each) and a three-day weekend retreat ($160).

'Educare' topic of free talk

Dr. Art-Ong Jumsai will give a free talk on "The Principles of Educare" at 7 p.m. Thursday at Leeward Community College Theater.

Jumsai is an international scientist, educator and author who worked for NASA, designing and developing the first successful device that allowed the space probe, Viking III, to land on Mars.

He also will speak from 8 a.m. to noon April 2 and 3 at the Boy Scout Council at 42 Puiwa Road, off the Pali Highway.

'Art of Living' founder at JCC

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of the Art of Living Foundation who introduced the Sudarshan Kriya technique of spiritual practice, will speak at 7 p.m. April 16 at the Japanese Cultural Center.

Forum's focus: hydrogen energy

The Social Justice Council of the First Unitarian Church, 2500 Pali Highway, continues its Issues and Action Forum program with James "Mitch" Ewan's talk at 12:30 p.m. tomorrow on "Hydrogen — A Clean Energy Solution for Hawai'i?" A short discussion session will follow. Ewan led the team that designed and built the "Green Car," the world's first PAM fuel cell powered automobile.

The forum, which follows the regular Unitarian Church service, continues on the fourth Sunday of each month.
