THE LEFT LANE
The pink spring thing: Update your colors

Advertiser Staff

Makeup is all about pink this spring, from the softest peach to rose to hot pink for lips, cheeks, nails and even eyes.

If you've been wearing nudes or bronzes, it can be costly to buy a whole new set of colors. Enter the spring palette — a whole face full of products for one price. All the colors are matched for you, and it can cost less than buying everything separately, though we didn't find any really low-end palettes at local stores.

Stila (pictured here) offers one for $28 at Macy's and Sephora; Body & Soul has Gigi's Vanity Case, with nine shades for $32, at Sephora; Vincent Longo's face paints in Lily La Bella is perfect for prom ($32.50 at Sephora); Lorac's Tickled Pink includes a mirror with its eye shadows, blush and lip polish for $40 at Sephora; and Laura Mercier's Face Paints offers three shadows, two blushes and sheer lip color for $50 at Neiman Marcus.
