Expedia to buy kiosk business

Activity World will be a wholly managed subsidiary of Expedia. The transaction is expected to close in early April.

More mall sites open on Easter

Ala Moana Center, Hawai'i's largest shopping center, said yesterday that 76 shops and restaurants will be open on Easter this year — up from 20 stores last year.

DHL Express adding drivers

DHL Express is adding 18 contracted truck drivers on O'ahu, where the delivery service reports that its business is growing by more than 10 percent this year.

DHL and Airborne Express merged in October. The O'ahu operations, which have had 32 drivers, will soon be consolidated at two adjacent sites on Paiea Street near the airport. DHL Express drivers are contracted workers from Honolulu Express, a courier service.
