CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

Friends of 'Iolani Palace offer a docent training class begins tomorrow and continues 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Mondays and 9-11:30 a.m. Thursdays through Sept. 23. Lectures and activities on Hawaiian and palace history, lessons on Hawaiian pronunciation at on-site classes and field trips. CALLS TO ARTISTS

HAwaii Handweavers' Hui asks for submissions for the 50th annual exhibition planned for May 15-31 on the the theme "50 ... Interpreted." Works must include hand weaving in some part of the work and incorporate the theme of "50" to be described in a statement from the artist submitted with the entry.
