Easter exhaustion

I try hard to remind my kids that the real reason we celebrate Easter has nothing to do with bunnies and colored eggs. This year, my 4-year-old daughter, Mikaela, enthusiastically embraced the spiritual aspect of the holiday.

"Happy Easter, Mommy," she joyfully greeted me that Sunday morning, then earnestly explained: "Every Easter, Jesus dies and rises from the grave."

After a thoughtful pause, she added, "Boy, he must be tired by now!"
