Police last night were looking for a man who shot a man during an argument yesterday morning in Waikiki, then pointed his gun at a police officer.
The victim was in good condition last night.
Police said they were called to Kalakaua Avenue near Ala Wai about 4:30 a.m. Two men had gotten out of a black Mercedes and were arguing, police said. One of the men ran away as the man with the gun shot him.
The victim jumped into a taxi and was taken to a nearby hospital in good condition, police said.
Police said the gunman also pointed his weapon at a police officer. The officer heard the gun click, possibly indicating a misfire, and the gunman drove away.
