UH women ousted from WAC tennis tournament

The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team was eliminated by SMU at the Western Athletic Conference championships yesterday at Houston.

The second-seeded Mustangs won, 4-0, without dropping a set in the quarterfinal matchup.



MEETING

QB Club: Three University of Hawai'i assistant football coaches will be the featured speakers at tomorrow's weekly meeting of the Honolulu Quarterback Club.

George Lumpkin (associate head coach, defensive coordinator), Cal Lee (linebackers) and Mike Cavanaugh (offensive line) will be at the Pagoda Ballroom.

The luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. and the program at noon.



SOFTBALL

BYU-Hawai'i swept: Western New Mexico swept Brigham Young-Hawai'i in a Pacific West Conference doubleheader, 7-1 and 6-1, yesterday at Silver City, N.M.



WATER POLO

UH loses: The University of Hawai'i women's water polo team lost to California, 9-4, at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation tournament yesterday at Los Alamitos, Calif.

UH (13-14) will play UC Santa Barbara in the seventh-place match today.
