Operations to be outsourced

Pauahi Management Corp. plans to outsource its management operations at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center in Waikiki beginning June 30, the company reported to state labor officials.

The changes will occur from June 30 through Sept. 30 and will affect all 42 employees working at the shopping center.

Pauahi Management officials did not return telephone calls yesterday seeking comment.


Gas prices rise on O'ahu, Maui

Average prices for regular gasoline on O'ahu and in Wailuku, Maui, hit new highs yesterday, according to AAA travel club.

In Honolulu, the average rose to $2.086 a gallon while in Wailuku the average reached $2.439.
