That's his Pipeline Café bill tonight featuring Rich Kids On LSD, Buck Wild and Sicker Than Others at 9 p.m.
Rich Kids are straight-outta-the-'80s Cali skate punkers, formerly on Epitaph Records. Back together after a brief post-millennial breakup, Buck Wild specializes in melodic party punk, latter-'90s-style.
Sicker Than Others' forté is hook-filled rock guitar and melodic punk. Entry is $5 for ages 21 and over; $10 for ages 18 to 20.
Another triple-bill (same bands, with local rockers Black Square, Woody, and El Enimigo) drops Friday, 8 p.m., at Pink Cadillac. More information at 808shows.com.
Nuno-zori as mom art
Irene Kawaguchi of Wabi-Sabi in Kaimuki spotted the tiny zori and came up with an idea for Mother's Day: She'll frame the nuno-zori in the appropriate quantity for your mom or tutu. For example, if Mom has two keiki, she'll frame two zoris; if Tutu has five grandchildren, then five zoris for her.
Each zori costs $5.50. A bamboo frame is $3.50 and a mat is $2. The bamboo frames can hold a maximum of six zoris, and the mat can hold one or two.
If you're the crafty type and would like to try your hand at making nuno-zori, there will be a class at Wabi-Sabi from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 16.
Cost: $24, which includes a partial kit. Information: 734-3693.
