Two theater groups open season-ending shows

It's the end of the season for two community theater groups, and each offers vastly different productions:
"Camelot," the evergreen musical romance, features TV journalist Tina Shelton as Guenevere, the queen who's torn between love of husband (King Arthur) and the new knight in town, Sir Lancelot.

The Lerner and Loewe crowd-pleaser, based on the novel "The Once and Future King" by T.H. White, is known for hit tunes such as "The Simple Joys of Maidenhood," "The Lusty Month of May," "If Ever I Should Leave You" and "What Do the Simple Folk Do?"

"Camelot," an Army Community Theatre production, is directed by Eden-Lee Murray, with choreography by Deanna Luster and musical direction by Daren Kimura.
Premieres at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Richardson Theatre, Fort Shafter; repeats at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and

"Gone Feeshing," a comedy by "pidgin guerrilla" Lee Tonouchi, is the finale in Kumu Kahua's season. It's the tale of two brothers, Wayne and Grayson, whose fishing adventure turns into a surrealistic journey back to childhood, teen and young-adult years. They deal with their past, their father and other conflicts.
Kumu Kahua's Harry Wong directs. The cast includes Moses Goods III, Squire Coldwell, Wil Kahele and Malia Yamamoto.
Premieres at 8 p.m. Thursday at Kumu Kahua Theatre, 46 Merchant St.; repeats at 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and at 2 p.m. Sundays, through June 13. Tickets are $5-$16. 536-4441.
