Key House votes

1. Alternative minimum tax

The House on Wednesday passed, 333-89, a bill that would extend for one year current exemptions from the alternative minimum tax. A yea vote was to pass the bill.

Hawai'i votes: Neil Abercrombie (D) NAY; Ed Case (D) NAY

2. Iraqi prisoner abuse

The House on Thursday passed, 365-50, a resolution condemning the abuse of Iraqi prisoners while commending U.S. forces serving in Iraq. A yea vote was to pass the resolution.

Key Senate votes

1. Overtime pay

The Senate on Tuesday passed, 52-47, a plan to block new federal rules on overtime pay. A yea vote was pass the plan.
