Ka'anapali offers junior golf program

Ka'anapali Golf Courses summer junior golf program is holding open enrollment for all three sessions. Players ages 7 to 17 are eligible.

The programs are run by certified PGA professionals and include instruction in all facets of the game, from technique to etiquette and basic rules.

"Our goal is to create a fun atmosphere in which juniors can learn the game with their friends and make new friends at the same time," said head pro Scott Ashworth.

Classes will be Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ka'anapali lessons facility. Four-class sessions start June 9, July 7 and Aug. 4.

Participants who complete one session and pass an etiquette and rules test will become Ka'anapali Junior Golf Members. These members receive a membership card, complimentary green fees on the South Course after 4 p.m. and free range balls for one year.

Cost of each session is $20. For more information, call the course at 661-3691 on Maui.
