Tonight's Must-See

"Hope & Faith," 8 p.m., ABC. This is one of the shows that have brought fun back to Friday television. It offers broad comedy, likable stars and a strong concept: The self-centered Faith (Kelly Ripa) was fired from her soap opera and moved in with her responsible sister Hope (Faith Ford) and family. Now — a week before the real daytime Emmys — we get a grand twist: The long-fired Faith has a surprise daytime Emmy nomination. She heads to New York along with her kin. The result is an hour-long season finale stuffed with soap stars. It includes Susan Lucci, of course, plus Susan Flannery, Rebecca Budig, Eric Braeden and more.

Of Note

"Biography," 7, 11 p.m., A&E. Here's a portrait of the comedy series "Happy Days." For the full experience, you can also catch the "Biography" portraits on the show's stars — Ron Howard at 5 & 9 p.m. and Henry Winkler at 6 & 10 p.m.

"The George Lopez Show," 7 and 7:30 p.m., ABC. In the first episode, George's mom is suspected of vandalizing the factory. Then a rerun finds George temporarily out of work, just as his daughter prepares for her big party.

"Frasier," 7 p.m., NBC. Ever notice that reruns seem to show up quicker these days? This one begins exactly 22 hours after its first run concluded. It's the show's finale, which runs slightly over, pushing "Dateline" back to 8:04 p.m.

"Joan of Arcadia," 7 p.m., CBS. Joan ponders whether God wants her to have sex with Adam. We're doubtful (that suggestion hasn't been made to anyone since Eve, and that didn't turn out so well).

"JAG," 8 p.m., CBS. Some of the heroin that was seized is missing. An investigation begins.

"Cold Case," 9 p.m., CBS. Almost a decade ago, a man lost his job and his family because he was a murder suspect. Now he feels new information can clear him.
