American Idol stars to perform in Hawai'i

It’s official: "American Idol" is returning to Hawai'i with the "American Idols Live" tour, 7 p.m. Sept. 28 and 29 at Blaisdell Arena. The concert will include performances by Hawai'i’s own Jasmine Trias of Mililani and Camile Velasco of Ha'iku, Maui.Tickets go on sale 9 a.m. Saturday for the concert, which will feature the show’s top 10 finalists, with the "Idol" winner headlining. Others include Amy Adams, Diana DeGarmo, Fantasia Barrino, George Huff, Jennifer Hudson, John Stevens, Jon Peter Lewis and La Toya London.
The entire 52-city tour begins July 14 in Salt Lake City. The Honolulu concert, presented by AEG Live and Tom Moffatt, will be at the 8,500-seat Blaisdell Arena.
Tickets cost $48, plus applicable service charges; limit eight per person. Tickets will be sold at the Blaisdell Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations, including Times Supermarkets.
Lines for tickets at the Blaisdell Box Office and Times Supermarkets start 7 a.m. Saturday and random numbers passed out at 8 a.m.
