Here's a book to leave on a co-worker's desk with the appropriate passage marked: "Don't You Just Hate That? 738 Annoying Things" by Scott Cohen (Workman, paper, $7.95). There are plenty of things to choose from, but woven throughout the book are bright red pages on which are listed annoying things about specific jobs like the IT guy who spends an hour on a computer problem, then finally breaks down and calls his boss, who fixes it with two key strokes. Ouch!
