Tonight's Must-See

"The West Wing," 8 p.m., NBC. The season ends tonight in full crisis mode. A terrorist attack in the Gaza Strip left the general (John Amos) dead and Donna (Janel Moloney) in critical condition. Tonight, the president ponders a military reaction, and Josh worries about whether Donna will survive.

"American Idol," 8 p.m., Fox. Starting a half-hour later than usual, "Idol" will stretch out for an hour before telling us which singer — Fantasia Barrino, Diana DeGarmo or Hawai'i's Jasmine Trias — will be ousted before next week's finale.

Of Note

"Moguls," 6 p.m., TV Land. As the 1980s began, two men were changing the landscape for cop and action shows. Stephen Cannell is a gifted writer who tried to do too much at once. His shows ranged from brilliant ("Tenspeed and Brownshoe") to silly ("The A-Team"). Steven Bochco brought intelligence and passion to shows, from the trendsetting "Hill Street Blues" to the current "NYPD Blue." The two men are profiled here, along with the comedy companies that peaked with "The Golden Girls," "Roseanne" and "The Cosby Show."

"That '70s Show," 7 p.m., Fox. This lighthearted comedy has outstripped most expectations, lasting six years and 151 episodes, so far. The once-clumsy neighbor kids, Eric and Donna, are ready to marry. There will be plenty of complications. Because this is Fox, we can't guarantee the wedding will happen. There also will be guest stops by Shannon Elizabeth ("American Pie"), Morgan Fairchild and Brooke Shields, plus Tanya Roberts as Donna's mother.

"The Bachelor," 8 p.m., ABC. Here is the final episode, with Jesse Palmer taking each of the two women home to meet his family, then making his final choice.

"Angel," 8 p.m., WB. This often-excellent series closes with one final mission — battling bad guys who want world domination.
