Furuya reports that, in addition to the Waikiki steak and seafood house (opening in the fall in the old Third Floor location at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa), the Sansei group is working on a Vino Wine Bar to open in July in the special-functions room at Sansei Seafood Restaurant & Sushi Bar at Restaurant Row in Honolulu.
There will be a Cruvinet wine-preservation system allowing extensive tastings of wine by the glass.
Dolphin Days chefs share recipes
It's a coffee-table style hardcover, 128 pages, edited by Lori Kennedy with food styling by Nina Pfaffenbach and photos by John DeMello. Dolphin Days is June 24 through 27 this year, and the book will be available at the hotel then, or by mail order (after June 22, check www.dolphindays.com for mail order instructions).
Among the chefs whose recipes will be included: Adam Condon of Spago, David Paul Johnson of Kukio Resort, James McDonald of Pacific'O, Russell Siu of 3660 on the Rise and Goran Streng of the Hawaii Prince.
