Harbor bonds get A+ rating

Fitch Ratings gave an A+ rating to $52 million in state Department of Transportation harbor system revenue bonds.

The bonds are expected to sell via negotiation by A.G. Edwards & Sons Inc. on or about May 27. A+ is Fitch's fifth highest rating.

Honolulu gas at record high

Honolulu's average price for regular gasoline hit another high at $2.190 a gallon, according to the AAA travel club's survey posted yesterday.

Hilo and Wailuku averages also reached records at $2.369 and $2.564 a gallon, respectively. The statewide average for regular dropped to $2.276 from $2.279.
