Chun falls in wrestling trial finals

Clarissa Chun's run at a spot on the U.S. Olympic wrestling team ended yesterday after she lost twice to U.S. Nationals champ Patricia Miranda in the team trials championship series yesterday at Indianapolis.

Chun, a 1999 Roosevelt graduate from Kapolei, lost to Miranda 6-3 and by technical fall at 4 minutes, 51 seconds, 10-0, in the best-of-three 48-kilogram (105-pound) series.

Chun won the U.S. Olympic Wrestling Team Trials Challenge Tournament on Saturday to advance to the championship series.
