UH-Hilo gives out softball awards

Sophomore catcher Natalie Fujimoto was honored by University of Hawai'i-Hilo as the Vulcans' Outstanding Player.
The 'Aiea native was second-team all-NCAA Division II West Region as well as a first-team all-Pacific West Conference selection. She led the team with a .364 batting average.
Sophomore pitcher Sarah Steele earned two honors: the Scholar/Athlete award with a 3.89 GPA and Outstanding Pitcher with a 13-5 record.
Freshman Haunani Haasenritter was the Rookie of the Year. She also earned honorable mention all-conference recognition. Freshman Zoie Sevilla was the recipient of the Coaches' Award.
