State gasoline price at $2.31

The statewide average for regular gasoline rose to a record $2.315 a gallon, according to the AAA travel club fuel survey posted today.Driving that gain was a 2.3 cent rise in average prices in Honolulu, to a record $2.238 a gallon for regular. In Wailuku, Maui, the average rose to $2.589 a gallon, but remained below a high of $2.599. In Hilo, Hawai'i, the average for regular dipped to $2.332 a gallon.
