June 2 — Deadline for the U.S. Junior Amateur Championships local qualifying, June 29 to 30 at the Dunes at Maui Lani. Qualifiers will advance to one of 26 sectional qualifyings for the national championship scheduled at the Olympic Club in San Francisco, July 19 to 24. June 7 — Deadline for 10th Annual Golf "Fore" Damien Tournament, July 1 at Kapolei Golf Course. Check-in from 10 to 11:30 a.m. followed by shotgun start at noon. Format: three-person scramble. Fee: $450 per team or $150 per person. Information: 841-0196.

June 14 — Deadline for 24th Annual City Bank/Vulcan Athletic Golf Tournament, June 23 at Hilo Municipal Golf Course. Tee off at noon. Fee: $100. Information: 974-7606.
