Central Pacific Financial Corp. has begun construction on a new branch in Wailuku, Maui. The branch at 2061 Wells St. would be the bank's third on the Island.

Services include night depository and 24-hour ATM access as well as a safe deposit vault that uses a person's hand print for identification. The branch is expected to open in late November or early December.
