"The Magic School Bus Kicks Up a Storm" exhibit, based on Scholastic's books and television series, has parked at the Hawai'i Children's Discovery Center through Jan. 30.

The weather-themed exhibit features three interactive environments — Ms. Frizzle's Classroom, The Weather Observatory and the Walkerville Weather Center. Kids can take part in a hot-air balloon race, measure lightning, build a snowflake, create their own weather tools and broadcast weather reports.

The exhibit is free with regular admission to the museum — $8 general, $6.75 kids 2 to 17, $5 seniors 62 and older, free for keiki younger than 2. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. 524-5437.
