Who says ABC's smash hit "Lost" doesn't have any local actors?
"She's got an excellent temperament," says Madison's person, Kim Stahl. "She loves everybody."
Madison, no diva when it comes to cross-gender roles, plays Vincent, the affable pooch pal of Malcolm David Kelley's character, Walt.
While Madison has experience as a tracking dog and obedience competitor, "Lost" is her first turn in the acting arena. And like any young thespian, Madison has had to push herself to expand her acting range.
"In Episode 2 she had to bark ferociously, but if you know Labs, that's not their personality," Stahl said. "She's afraid of lampshades, so we improvised using a cardboard tube and a lampshade to get her to respond." Fortunately, a tennis ball is usually all it takes to inspire Madison to reach her artistic heights.

ABC Of course, stardom isn't always all it's cracked up to be. While Madison busts her tail on the set every day, her canine pals back at home just plain dog it.
"I have two more Labs at home," Stahl said. "But they're unemployed."

"She's obsessed with tennis balls," Stahl said. "We use a little food sometimes, but mostly we use tennis balls for training. She loves them."
