Medical clinic reaccredited

American Healthways said yesterday it has received a full, two-year reaccreditation for its clinic in Kapolei and others around the country that offer programs for treating diabetes, congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma.

The accreditation was granted by URAC, one of the nation's top independent healthcare accrediting organizations.


Job-related rate discount offered

Allstate Insurance is offering auto insurance discounts of up to 10 percent to Hawai'i residents working in or retired from occupations that tend to have fewer losses than the general population.

Drivers who may qualify for a discount include architects, clergy, engineers, math professionals, optometrists, paramedics or emergency medical technicians, pharmacists, educators, physical scientists and veterinarians.
