7 from Hawai'i in NCAA soccer championship

Seven of the 64 teams in this week's NCAA Women's Soccer Championship tournament have players from Hawai'i.
Southern Methodist (15-3-3) sophomore midfielder/forward Adria Campbell (Punahou '03) has played in 20 games, with eight goals and one assist. She was a Western Athletic Conference first-team selection. Pepperdine (9-6-3) sophomore defender Ashley Doi (Mililani '02) has not played in a match this season. San Diego (11-7-2) freshman defender Lisa Lerud (Punahou) has played in two matches. Duke (12-7-0) freshman goalkeeper Allison Lipsher (Punahou '04) has started 16 games, recording 39 saves and seven shutouts. She was an all-Atlantic Coast Conference Freshman team selection. UNLV junior midfielder/defender Lori Sakai (Iolani '02) has played in 16 games, starting seven, with two assists. Harvard (8-6-2) junior midfielder Maile Tavepholjalern (Punahou) has played in 12 games, recording one goal and three assists. Princeton (15-2-0) junior defender Romy Trigg-Smith (Punahou '02) has played in every minute of every match for the Tigers, except for 10 minutes in the final match, and was an all-Ivy League first-team selection. The men's soccer tournament field will be announced next week.
