UH's Chang a semifinalist for O'Brien award

University of Hawai'i's Tim Chang was one of 13 semifinalists named to the Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award, presented annually to the nation's best college quarterback.
Also named were Jason Campbell (Auburn), David Greene (Georgia), Chris Leak (Florida), Stefan LeFors (Louisville), Matt Leinart (USC), Reggie McNeal (Texas A&M), Kyle Orton (Purdue), Aaron Rodgers (California), Alex Smith (Utah), Andrew Walter (Arizona State), Jason White (Oklahoma), and Jared Zabransky (Boise State).
The O'Brien Selection Committee is composed of national sportswriters, commentators and former O'Brien Award winners, and will vote later this month to narrow the field again.
The three finalists will be announced Nov. 23 and the winner will be announced Dec. 9 on the 2004 Home Depot College Football Awards Show.
The winner will be honored Feb. 21, 2005, at the 28th annual Davey O'Brien Awards Dinner at The Fort Worth Club in downtown Fort Worth, Texas.
