On dealing with grief

Honpa Hongwanji Mission Hawaii Betsuin's Dharma Dialogue series will feature George Osakoda discussing "Dealing with Grief and Dying" at 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at the annex temple, 1727 Pali Highway.
The Dharma Dialogue series explores issues of life in the light of human experience and Buddhist teachings. Osakoda, a social worker in Hawai'i for more than 30 years, works with Hospice Hawaii.

Gov. Linda Lingle is scheduled to attend when the Muslim Association of Hawai'i holds its annual Eid al-Fitr, the festival at the end of the monthlong Ramadan celebration, tomorrow at Kapi'olani Park.
The festival begins with prayers at 8:30 a.m., followed by a talk and activities for the family. All are welcome and the event is free.
