Fox keeps post as GOP names House leadership

Rep. Galen Fox, R-23rd (Waikiki, Ala Moana, Kaka'ako), has retained his post as leader of the minority Republican Caucus in the state House of Representatives.

The 10-member caucus also chose to retain Colleen Meyer, R-47th (Ha'iku, Kahalu'u, La'ie), as minority floor leader and Mark Moses, R-40th (Makakilo, Kapolei, Royal Kunia) as assistant minority leader and Cynthia Thielen, R-50th (Kailua, Mokapu) as assistant minority floor leader.

Also named were Chris Halford, R-17th (S. Maui) as policy leader and Corinne Ching, R-27th (Liliha, Pu'unui) as assistant policy leader. Minority whips will be Lynn Finnegan, R-32nd (Aliamanu, Airport, Mapunapuna), Kymberly Pine, R-43rd, ('Ewa Beach, West Loch), and Bud Stonebraker, R-17th (Hawai'i Kai, Kalama Valley).

Barbara Marumoto, R-19th (Kaimuki, Kahala, Wai'alae Iki), is past minority leader.

The 41 Democrats in the House are still discussing their leadership slate.

State senators organized their leadership teams last week.
