Body of man found in Nu'uanu

An autopsy will be performed on the body of a man who was found yesterday morning in Nu'uanu.
Police said the man was discovered shortly after 7 a.m. at Kuakini Street and Nu'uanu Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The case has been classified as an unattended death pending the autopsy. The man's name was not released.
KAHULUI, Maui A Maui woman died yesterday after the sedan her husband was driving collided with a pickup truck on Pu'unene Avenue.
Hatsuyo Nishiyama died after being treated at Maui Memorial Medical Center, while her husband, Susumu Nishiyama, remains at the hospital in guarded condition, police said.
The operator of the truck received minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
This is Maui County's 17th traffic fatality compared to 14 at the same time last year.
HILO, Hawai'i A 19-year-old Kailua, Kona, man died after he was ejected from the car he was driving and thrown 40 feet into a lava field off the Queen Ka'ahumanu Highway Wednesday afternoon, police and fire officials said.
Joshua Leau was pronounced dead at North Hawai'i Community Hospital later Wednesday.
Leau's death is the 37th traffic fatality on the Big Isle this year.
