Weddings

Melody Tabios Butay, daughter of Sonny and Reynie Butay of Salt Lake, and Michael Velasco Dacanay, son of the late Julio Dacanay and Filomena Dacanay of Maui, were married Aug. 14 at Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church in Waipahu. The reception followed at the Hyatt Regency. The bride is now Melody Butay Dacanay. The couple live in Kunia.

Kris Kilihuneokuahiwi Rohrmayr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig Rohrmayr of Wai'anae, and Chad James Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Williams of Baton Rouge, La., were married Sept. 12 at Camp Avondale in Clinton, La. The bride (Wai'anae High/Honolulu Community College), now Kris Kilihuneokuahiwi Williams, is a photographer. The groom (Belair High), formerly of Baton Rouge, is a carpenter. The couple live in Denham Springs, La., with the bride's 9-year-old son, Steven Anthony LoMaglio.
