UH men's volleyball team loses two players

By Stephen Tsai
Advertiser Staff Writer

Outside hitter Pedro Azenha is no longer on the University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team, and middle blocker Delano Thomas will not participate in a series of exhibition matches this week, The Advertiser has learned.

Citing federal privacy laws, UH coach Mike Wilton declined to comment on the two players' situations.

Wilton said an announcement is scheduled for tomorrow.

Thomas, an All-America middle blocker in 2002, played outside hitter last year, leading the Warriors in kills (4.0 per game) and points (473). He returned to middle blocker during fall training camp.

Azenha was named to the All-America second team last year.
