JACK MEAD, Morton's executive chef since 2002, has been named the steakhouse's food and beverage controller. Named new executive chef of the Ala Moana Center restaurant is REID FUKUMOTO.

NAWAI KEKOOLANI has been promoted to Hawai'i regional corporate chef for Ruth's Chris Steak House's three locations — on Restaurant Row in Honolulu, on Maui at The Shops at Wailea and on Front Street in Lahaina.

JESSICA LANI RICH, public service director for KUMU and KPOI radio stations, has been named president and executive director of the Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii. The organization exists to ameliorate the negative effects of crime or other misfortune of Hawai'i visitors. She had been serving in the capacities on an interim basis, and is also a former chairwoman of the VASH board of directors. Rich is also a former public relations director for both Honolulu Academy of Arts and Bishop Museum.

• Ten executives have been elected to the board of governors of the Hawaii Employers Council: Newly elected board members are: PATRICK D.. CHING, senior vice president of Servo Pacific Inc.; ROBERT L. DOVE, chief executive officer and president of Hawaii Employers Mutual Insurance Co. Inc.; THOMAS G. RIETOW, executive director and chief executive officer of Hale Kauai Ltd.; RYOZO SAKAI, president of Sony Hawaii Co.; PATRICIA C.I. TAM, vice president, standards and corporate relations of Halekulani Corp., and JIM R. YATES, president of The Gas Co. Re-elected to the board were: CLINTON ARNOLDUS, vice chairman and chief executive officer of Central Pacific Financial Corp.; KYOKO Y. KIMURA, president and general manager of Diamond Resort Hawaii; DOROTHY PUNG, president and chief executive officer of Hawaii Federal and State Employees Federal Credit Union, and EDWARD S. VAN LIER RIBBINK, senior vice president and chief financial officer of Hawaii Medical Service Association. In addition, the employers council announced the appointment of three executives to fill midterm vacancies on its board of governors: SUSAN DOYLE of Aloha United Way; GEORGE OTSUKA of Fuji Photo Film Hawaii Inc.; and RUTHANN YAMANAKA of Alexander and Baldwin Inc.

• Territorial Savings Bank has announced the following appointments: WALTER IDA has been named senior vice president of investment services. He is a former director of business development at KPMG, and a tax partner. GEOFFREY BARICAUA has been named assistant vice president of the bank's Waipahu branch, overseeing branch operations and residential mortgage production. EMY TAMANAHA has been named assistant controller in the bank's downtown corporate offices at 1132 Bishop St. She is a former director of corporate accounting for Aloha Airlines Inc. BYRON E. MELLO was named residential loan officer, also in the corporate office.

CORLYN OLSON ORR, a former planner with the city Department of Planning and Permitting, has joined local land planning firm Helber Hastert & Fee, Planners Inc. Her expertise includes land use and community planning, and environmental impact review for both public and private sector projects.
