Central O'ahu pump repairs pau today
Advertiser Staff
A contractor is expected to complete repairs this morning to a broken water pump, but the Board of Water Supply is asking Wahiawa and Whitmore Village residents to continue to conserve water until the work is done.
The broken pump has reduced the amount of water available to the community by about 3 million gallons a day, half a normal day's use.
Residents may have low water pressure until service is fully restored and reservoirs are returned to normal levels.

Sewage spill warnings posted
Signs warning to stay out of the water have been posted along Kalihi Stream near Kuhio Park Terrace after about 2,000 gallons of untreated wastewater entered the stream Sunday night.
According to the city Department of Customer Services, grease blocked a sewer line and caused wastewater to overflow from a manhole.
Crews arrived at about 9:15 p.m. at the Amelia Street site and stopped the flow by 11:30 p.m.
The spill site has been cleaned and disinfected and the stream, which discharges into Ke'ehi Lagoon, will be tested for contamination.
The state Department of Health has been notified of the spill.
