Wahine beat Utah in four, improve to 28-0

The top-ranked University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team defeated 19th-ranked Utah in four games today to complete an unbeaten regular season with a 28-0 record.

The Wahine won, 30-28, 18-30, 30-16, 30-26 in Salt Lake City.

Junior Victoria Prince finished with a team-high 18 kills and nine blocks. Susie Boogaard had 12 kills and eight blocks and Juliana Sanders added seven kills and three blocks. Libero Ashley Watanabe had a team-high 17 digs.

The victory completed a sweep of a five-match road trip, which included three victories in Reno to win the Western Athletic Conference tournament.

The team returns to Honolulu tomorrow. The NCAA tournament begins the weekend of Dec. 2-5, and the final four is Dec. 16 and 18 in Long Beach, Calif. The tournament bracket will be announced Sunday.
