• "Sideways": A wine-soaked English teacher named Miles (Paul Giamatti) will be the best man in a week when his friend Jack (Thomas Haden Church) gets married. He proposes a one-week bachelor party spent touring California's wine country. They meet two women: Maya (Virginia Madsen) and Stephanie (Sandra Oh), with romantic, funny and surprisingly moving results, in a lovely movie that's one of the best of the year, according to reviewer Roger Ebert. Opens tomorrow at Dole Cannery 18 Theatres, Varsity Twin. (R)
