UAB accepts Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl bid

The University of Alabama-Birmingham football team has accepted an invitation to play a yet-to-be-determined opponent in the Dec. 24th Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl at Aloha Stadium.The Blazers, who concluded the regular season at 7-4, will be making the first bowl appearance in their nine-year NCAA Division I-A history.
They will play the University of Hawai'i provided the Warriors beat Michigan State Saturday to become bowl-eligible at 7-5. Otherwise, UAB would either Fresno State (8-3) or an at-large selection.
