KFVE to televise volleyball sub-regional

 •  Snubbed UH falls to No. 2

Advertiser Staff

KFVE yesterday won the rights to show Hawai'i's NCAA Volleyball Tournament sub-regional on TV locally. The station, which carries all Rainbow Wahine home matches, will broadcast both first-round matches live from Fort Collins, Colo., Thursday.

Third-seeded UH opens against Colorado at 2 p.m. Hawai'i time. Host Colorado State takes on Purdue at approximately 4 p.m.

The Rainbow match will be replayed at 7 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. that night.

If the Rainbow Wahine win, the second-round match Friday would be shown live, at 4 p.m HST, and again repeated at 7 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Jim Leahey and Chris McLachlin will be the broadcasters and KFVE will also send its regular producer.

The rest of its crew will be from the Mainland.
