Raiders stay perfect behind Kepo'o's four TD passes

Kiran Kepo'o completed 19 of 33 passes for 375 yards and four touchdowns to lead Iolani to a 38-13 victory over Pac-Five yesterday at Aloha Stadium.
Eugene Tanner The Honolulu Advertiser Kepo'o, a 6-foot-2, 220-pound left-handed junior, had 293 yards passing by halftime. He left the game early in the fourth quarter after throwing his fourth TD pass, an 11-yarder to tailback Michael Hirokawa which helped give Iolani a 31-7 lead.
The Raiders had three receivers Micah Kalama, Kekai Kealoha and Travis Nishioka finish with more than 100 yards receiving. Also, Iolani defensive back Landon Patoc intercepted four passes.
The Raiders took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter after Kepo'o's 49-yard touchdown pass to Kalama and a 92-yard TD catch-and-run by Nishioka.
The Wolfpack answered with Bryson Beirne's 21-yard touchdown pass to Cody Walker, closing it to 14-7 on the final play of the first quarter.
Milo Kalama's 33-yard field goal put Iolani up 17-7, and the Raiders took a 24-7 lead into halftime after Kepo'o's 9-yard touchdown pass to Nishioka.
Micah Kalama finished with 10 catches for 186 yards, Kealoha had six catches for 105 yards and Nishioka added two catches for 101 yards.

The Raiders, ranked No. 6 in The Advertiser's statewide Top 10 poll of media and coaches, remained unbeaten at 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu. Pac-Five fell to 3-2-1 and 0-1-1.
Iolani's Kiran Kepo'o passed for 375 yards as the No. 6 Raiders beat Pac-Five to improve to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the ILH.
