A 26-year-old man has been charged with 10 counts of sexual assault in connection with an assault on a 17-year-old girl.

Anton Myklebust of Acacia Place in Aliamanu was charged yesterday with four counts of first-degree sexual assault and six counts of third-degree sexual assault. He also was charged with kidnapping, robbery, credit card theft and unlawful methamphetamine trafficking to a minor. He was being held last night in a police cell block on $500,000 bail.

Myklebust was arrested early Tuesday on Kuhio Avenue after a police investigation into the sexual assault, which occurred between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday. Police had been searching for Myklebust after the girl reported being sexually assaulted by a stranger.

Police said the girl may have been drugged before being assaulted.
