Celebrity tournament on Oct. 14

Amateur entries are still available for the Oct. 14 Sports Celebrity Golf Classic at Luana Hills Golf Club.

The entry is $450 per player, with teams of four at $1,500. The fee includes the tournament and a banquet Oct. 15. The tournament will begin at 12:20 p.m. with a shotgun start. For information, call 792-9333.

Celebrities scheduled to play in the tournament include members of the late 1960s University of Hawai'i "Fab Five" basketball team, including John Penebacker, Jerome Freeman and coach Red Rocha.

Former NBA players scheduled to play include Moses Malone, Artis Gilmore, Maurice Lucas, George Gervin, Joe Bryant, JoJo White, Lucius Allen, Darwin Cook and George Tinsley.
