Harlem Globetrotters in exhibition here Nov. 30

Advertiser Staff

The world-famous Harlem Globetrotters will play an exhibition in Hawai'i at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Blaisdell Arena.

The Globetrotters have performed before more than 120 million people in 117 countries since their first game in 1927.

Hawai'i had been one of their regular stops years ago, but they have not performed here in recent years.

While the Globetrotters still perform basketball tricks and hijinks to the music of "Sweet Georgia Brown," they also started playing "serious" exhibition basketball against college teams about four years ago.

Two years ago, the University of Hawai'i inquired about playing an exhibition against them.

Tickets for the game will go on sale at 9 a.m. on Oct. 16 at Blaisdell Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations, including Times Supermarkets. To charge by phone, call (877) 750-4400 or log on to www.ticketmaster.com.

Ticket prices are $10, $19.50, $25, and $35.
