UH No. 3 in volleyball rankings

The University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team moved up a notch to third in the USA Today/College Sports Television Top 25 Coaches Poll released today.The unbeaten (14-0) Rainbow Wahine, who were fourth last week, trail only Washington (13-0) and Minnesota (16-2) after sweeping Boise State and Texas-El Paso over the weekend.
Defending national champion Southern California (9-3), which had been No. 2, dropped following being swept at home by California. It was the first home sweep of the Trojans since 1999. Cal moved from 17th to 13th on the strength of the victory.
The Wahine play Thursday at Louisiana Tech and Saturday at Southern Methodist.
