UH's Owens gains WAC honors

Advertiser Staff Writer

University of Hawaii football player Chad Owens today was named the Western Athletic Conference special teams player of the week.

Owens had a 75-yard punt return for touchdown in the Warriors' 48-26 victory over Nevada Saturday night. It was the second week in a row he scored on a punt return. He also had 2 touchdown catches in that game.
