Men robbed at gunpointTwo Honolulu men told police they were robbed about 10:30 p.m. yesterday near the corner of South Kukui and Queen Emma streets as they were walking home from a restaurant.
Police said the two men, ages 56 and 58, were heading toward their respective condominiums when two youths, both estimated to be about 17 years old, came up behind them and began asking for money.
When the two men said they had no money, one of the youths pulled out a handgun and threatened the men, at which point one of the men handed over his wallet, police said,
The two robbers then ran north on Pali Highway. Neither of the robbery victims was injured, police said.
Attempt to cash check thwarted
A 21-year-old woman was arrested about 2 p.m. yesterday at the Central Pacific Bank branch on Kaheka Street after trying to cash a stolen check, police said.
A patrol officer responded to a call from the bank and was told by workers there that the woman was attempting to cash a stolen check. She was arrested on suspicion of second-degree forgery.
Unbuckled belt leads to arrest
The failure to wear a seat belt resulted in the arrest at 10:35 a.m. yesterday of a 47-year-old man in Waikiki.
A patrol officer reported seeing the man driving without a seat belt and watched as he drove his car into a hotel parking lot.
The officer ran a check on the car's license plate and learned it had been reported stolen by a Wahiawa resident. The officer arrested the driver on suspicion of car theft and driving without a license.
Boat burglary suspect at large

Pauline was convicted of felony terroristic threatening after he brandished a knife while stealing items from a boat at Wai'anae Boat Harbor in July 2002. He is believed to be living in the viaduct area near the airport.
Pauline also is wanted for questioning in connection with a Pearl Harbor burglary on Peltier Avenue in September. Police said he is considered dangerous and should not be approached.
