Physicians back Tanonaka's bid

Support for Dalton Tanonaka's bid to win the U.S. House seat in Hawai'i's 1st Congressional District now includes community caregivers.

Forty-four physicians who primarily serve O'ahu's Filipino community say that Tanonaka's Asia experience and personal philosophy earned their endorsement.

"He will represent all of the people, regardless of party or politics. And his compassion and concern for others is something Hawai'i can be proud of," said Dr. Remedios Sonson, speaking for the group.

The doctors work in all parts of the Tanonaka's urban O'ahu district.
