The Rev. SIDNEY JAMES HORMELL, 69, formerly of Hawai'i, died Aug. 21, 2004. Born in St. Louis, Mo. Formerly with University of Hawai'i; chairman of the Broadcast Commission; board member, Hawaii Council of Churches; producer and host of NBC affiliate "Celebration of Life" television show; and pastor of Waiokeola Congregational Church, 1976 to 1990. SAKAE KATO, 80, of Kahului, Maui, died Oct. 4, 2004. Born in Kahului. A sales clerk at Kato Dry Goods. CHARLES ANTHONY LASCH, 74, of Palm Bay, Fla., formerly of Hono-lulu, died Oct. 5, 2004. Born in Philadelphia, Pa. Retired Navy commander; comptroller, and management and plans officer, Pearl Harbor Submarine Base; and crewmember of the USS Skate submarine during its 1958 historic trip, and surfacing, at the North Pole. Survived by wife, Rosemary; daughters, Denise Aligood, Jean Biedul, Donna Edwards and Dawn Hymel; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Inurnment at Arlington National Cemetery, Va. DONALD KENNETH MARTIN, 73, of Kapolei, died Oct. 8, 2004. Born in Portland, Ore. Retired from U.S. Navy. Retired teacher at Campbell High School.
