Rainbows seek boost in playoff position

The University of Hawai'i women's soccer team is playing its final Western Athletic Conference regular season home games this weekend against Nevada and Boise State.

WHEN: Today—Nevada, 7 p.m. Sunday—Boise State, 5 p.m.

WHERE: Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Stadium

ADMISSION: Free

The Rainbow Wahine play Nevada (2-10-1 overall, 0-3 WAC) tonight at 7, and Boise State (8-4-1, 2-0-1) Sunday at 5 p.m.

Sunday's match against Boise State will be Senior Night as 11 Rainbow Wahine seniors will be honored following the match.

Hawai'i (9-4-2, 2-2-0) is looking to rebound from back-to-back losses last weekend at Southern Methodist and Texas-El Paso.

Hawai'i holds a 4-0 series record against Nevada and has won three straight games against Boise State (3-1-1 overall). The Rainbow Wahine need to defeat the two teams to boost themselves into the upper portion of the WAC standings.

Hawai'i is in fifth place in the WAC; the top six teams in the nine-team WAC qualify for the conference tournament, being held in Hawai'i Nov. 4 to 6.

Hawai'i completes its WAC season on the road against Fresno State and San Jose State.
